Watching one of your closest friend's getting married.
Seeing one of my closest friends getting married really was touching. Some people claimed he was too young, but let me tell you, for being only twenty-one, he’s done way more than the average person at this age. From writing for newspapers in high school and touring warped tour as a journalist, to flying to China to teach English, and shortly after starting an amazing non-profit organization to help the homeless around the world.
This is one of those weddings you go to and know that it’s going to last. Why? because someone so humble, gentle and kind can do whatever it takes to keep it going. It’s inspired me to look at my relationship and push through. To make the impossible, probable. To always honor and cherish my significant other. To keep content.
Everything happens for a reason and Julio, thanks again for always being an inspiration to me. Every time I’m around you, I learn something from you. From dumpster diving and salvaging loads of perfectly good food for the homeless, to flipping a car 4 times in the air on the I95 and surviving, you have always been a foundation in my life. You have always inspired me to become a better person and I can’t thank you enough for that.
We’ve known each other for a decade now, and it’s so interesting to see how we have grown. Though we are miles apart from each other now, you’re always on my mind, my dude. It’s always been a “what would julio do?” situation. I’m so happy for you, even on your wedding day I’m learning something, it’s amazing.
We all know you’ll dedicate every cell in your body to your wife and work hard to give her the best you’ve got, because that’s who you’ve always been. I love you brother.
You’ve inspired me to keep my own relationship going and to make it stronger and better than it’s ever been.
